MAKING BEST USE OF TEACHING ASSISTANTS

Opportunity Area Funded Programme: We are pleased to announce that the Opportunity Area have provided funding to cover the £295 cost of this programme for East Cambs and Fenland Opportunity Area schools. The £295 covers 2 places per school on this evidence based programme. Book early to avoid missing out on this exciting funding offer.

Round 1 of our MITA (Maximising the Practice of Teaching Assistants) programme has been extremely well received. In feedback 100% of those who attended agreed (and 86% strongly agreed) that ‘the promoted practice will make a difference to the learning of my pupils’.

This is a 3 session programme aimed at senior leaders (we recommend 2 members of the senior leadership team attend) who are committed to leading whole school change of how we best support the learners in our school through our valuable teams of teaching assistant staff. The programme sets out to support schools in engaging all staff in considering what best practice looks like. It gives leaders tools to lead this important conversation, resulting in clear actionable areas for leading change to positively impact all. The evidence presented gives schools the information needed to review and develop provision. We already have reservations on to this second round of MITA.
